LATE BLOOMING EP
(CASE STUDY COMING SOON)
Late Blooming, an album created by Rose Rutledge, is an exploration of the pieces of us that show up later in life in a world where early success is celebrated. The sounds from the rogue flutist evoke feelings of nostalgia and wonder through layered and ethereal flute and vocal loops.
The visual identity system for the album is inspired by the experimental nature of Late Blooming’s sound. The art direction and photography play with focus, blur, and the refraction of light on the flowers to create unique and immersive images. To balance the energetic artwork, typography is a simple sans serif that is direct, bold, and easy to read. At times, blur is added to the typography to match the movement in the photography.
